New Endorsements for Furse Continue to Roll In

Houston - As the contest for SD17, the seat formerly held by Kyle Janek, gets more crowded, business, industry, Party, and grassroots leaders have united around a single candidate: Republican Austen Furse.  Today, Mr. Furse announced he has picked up two more key endorsements.

“Today I am extremely proud to announce some of the best news of the
campaign; two to the most influential independent business organizations have chosen to endorse me in the race for SD17; the C Club and the Houston Realty Breakfast Club.  These two organizations count among their membership Houston’s best known, best connected, most politically active business leaders,” Furse said of the endorsements.

“Both organizations voted to endorse Austen Furse in the Special Election for SD17,” said Joe Slovacek who serves as PAC treasurer for the C Club and the Houston Realty Breakfast Club.  “Each organization alone is significant.  Together they represent a real political powerhouse.

“Austen Furse has the business know-how to be the kind of common sense leader we want in the Texas Senate,” Slovacek said.

“Last week ended on a high note as I gained endorsements from many Party leaders and grassroots activists at the Republican State Convention.  I was well received not just in SD17 Caucus, but on the floor of the General Session as well.  Having been a delegate to nearly every State GOP convention over the past 20 years, made it both easy and enjoyable”, Furse said.

The Furse campaign has released a string of endorsements since their initial announcement.  They lead the field in fundraising and endorsements.
